How to Hard Reset Google Pixel and Pixel XL - Reset Phone to Factory Settings

Wondering how to hard reset a Google Pixel or Pixel XL? Well it is easy and takes a few minutes. Follow the steps to complete the process. 

Method 1 

1. First, turn your mobile phone off by pressing the Power button. 
   
2. Next, you should press and hold Volume Down + Power button at the same time for a approximately 15 seconds. 
3. Release the keys when you see the Google logo on the screen. 
4. You should now be able to see with an arrow drawn around it
5. To enter the Recovery Mode press the volume down button twice. 
6. Use the volume buttons to navigate to "wipe data/factory reset" and tap the Power button to confirm. 
   
7. Then choose "yes" from the menu, and accept it with Power button.
   
    
8. After a while accept option "reboot system now" using Power button
   
    
9. Done!!! Hard rest has just been performed. 

Method 2 

1. In case the phone is turned off, press Power button to switch it back on. 
2. Then open the Backup and Reset folder and select Factory Data Reset. 
3. Tap Reset Phone and remember read the warning when it pops up. 
4. Select Erase Everything and the device will proceed to restoration process. 
5. Done!!! Hard rest has just been performed.
